November Wanderings
There are three Wandering options for you in November. There are 2 all age Wanderings and one Welly Wander. "Welly Wanders" are aimed at pre-school children and their carers; last time we met, 6 adults and 5 wee ones went for a welly wander exploring the colours in the forest and reflecting on God's promises. Please spread the word to anyone who has wee ones at home on a Friday and would like to explore faith in the forest. We are currently working on developing more accessible Wanderings for folks who would find the forest tracks challenging. Watch this space!
Friday 7th November Broughtonknowe 10.30pm - Welly Wander - bring an adult and a snack
Thursday 13th November Broughtonknowe 10.30am - followed by Skirling community lunch
Saturday 29th November Broughtonknowe 2.30pm to 4pm - refreshments provided
Wanderings is a reflective woodland wander; a gathering where all ages can reflect, talk and walk together.
Meet at the main layby carpark at Broughtonknowe woods. We will be walking about 3km, slowly over an hour and a half through the woods on rough, steep, muddy tracks. It is essential folk wear stout boots with good grip and warm, waterproof clothing. There will be some stories shared, a Bible passage, some reflection, there will be time to chat, share and consider as well as some silence. There is a composting toilet available on site. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at what 3 words: certainty.questions.flown
OS grid ref: NT103391
Look forward to seeing some of you there.

Café Church in Broughton
On the first Sunday of every month Broughton Church is doing something a little bit different. Our services in Broughton Village Hall are always friendly and welcoming but particularly on these days we are holding what's known as café church. This is very informal, less structured than most services and more family friendly.
Café church starts at the normal time of 10.30am with coffee and cake or biscuits with the 'service' itself beginning at 11am. Then we all enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch together. The soup is provided and everyone is invited to bring along sandwiches to share. It's a time of fun and fellowship and everyone is welcome. Please do come along and join us.
Our next café church is a joint gathering for all of Upper Tweeddale on Sunday 7th December when we will be learning about Advent and creating Christingle decorations in the main hall.
Broughton Village Hall at 11.00am
Tweedsmuir Kirk at 9.30am
Skirling Kirk at 11.30am
Listening Hour
Our Minister, Rev. Tony Foley, is available to talk, and listen, in the Laurel Bank Tearoom in Broughton (opposite the village hall) from 11.15 to 12.15 on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month.
